(Books!)
I really wish that Magpie had included writers that actually matter in the modern world (like Ken Macleod, Iain Banks, Charlie Stross, etc.) as opposed to horribly embarrassing shit like Starhawk and Jensen. Nevertheless, the interviews he's compiled in Mythmakers & Lawbreakers are impressive, hard-won and occasionally rather fun. No longer a hypothetical or perpetual project, the book's cover has just been released on his blog, with AK Press allegedly shipping in September.
If you need something to crack in the meantime you might consider the recently Suffled How it Gush, an engaging anarchist travelogue through the various (A) communities and projects in the Balkans. The new edition is particularly apropos since several of author Shon Meckfessel's friends (working in Northern Iraq) were abducted by the Iranian government last week.
